Goodyear Deluxe All-Weather 2.875 inch Whitewall 475-19

The Goodyear Deluxe All-Weather 475-19 bias ply tire is an excellent choice for a Ford Model A and features a 2 7/8 inch whitewall (2.875 inches). The 475-19 size was used primarily on 1930 and 1931 Ford Model A passenger cars, and this wide whitewall version is a great way to give your Model A sedan some vintage style. This tire features the famous diamond tread pattern and Goodyear lettering in the whitewall. This iconic tire is perfect for a passenger car, and also works well on light trucks from the era. This Goodyear Deluxe tire is also an authentic choice for hot rods and customs. It features four-ply construction with polyester cords, and it is designed to be used with a tube.

Genuine Wide Whitewall Tire

This product features a genuine wide whitewall sidewall style. This means that the bright white rubber is added directly to the tire sidewall during initial construction of the carcass, resulting in a truly integrated, high-quality product after vulcanization. Wide whitewall tires were a very popular choice from the 1930's through the end of the 1950's, and were eventually phased out of mainstream production by 1962. Originally, wide whitewall tires featured a bias ply construction, but now Coker Tire offers them in original style bias ply and modern radial construction.

Bias Ply Construction

Bias ply tire construction is a method that was used from the 1900's through the 1970's on passenger cars and light trucks. Bias ply tires feature ply cords that run at a 45 degree angle to the bead, and overlap in a crisscross pattern, depending on how many ply layers are used. This creates a strong tire, but bias ply tires have a tendency to follow breaks or ruts in the pavement. Bias ply tires are the most authentic choice for classic car restorations and traditional hot rod builds. Coker Tire offers a huge variety of bias ply tires for many applications.
