Goodyear Super Cushion Deluxe 2.75 inch Whitewall 760-15
The Goodyear Super Cushion Deluxe 760-15 bias ply tire is a great choice for a full size classic car from the 1950's, thanks to its 2 3/4 inch whitewall (2.75 inches). This size was introduced in 1948, but this particular tire offers direct OE fitment on 1953 through 1958 cars, including Pontiac, Buick, Mercury, Packard and many more classics from the '50s. It features a four-ply bias ply construction with polyester cord material, and has an authentic tread pattern and sidewall markings for the 1953 through 1958 era.
Genuine Wide Whitewall Tire
This product features a genuine wide whitewall sidewall style. This means that the bright white rubber is added directly to the tire sidewall during initial construction of the carcass, resulting in a truly integrated, high-quality product after vulcanization. Wide whitewall tires were a very popular choice from the 1930's through the end of the 1950's, and were eventually phased out of mainstream production by 1962. Originally, wide whitewall tires featured a bias ply construction, Coker Tire offers these tires in both original style bias ply and modern radial construction.
Bias Ply Construction
Bias ply tire construction is a method that was used from the 1900's through the 1970's on passenger cars and light trucks. Bias ply tires feature ply cords that run at a 45 degree angle to the bead, and overlap in a crisscross pattern, depending on how many ply layers are used. This creates a strong tire, but bias ply tires have a tendency to follow breaks or ruts in the pavement. Bias ply tires are the most authentic choice for classic car restorations and traditional hot rod builds. Coker Tire offers a huge variety of bias ply tires for many applications.
