Our BFGoodrich Silvertown radial tires offer wide whitewalls in a variety of sizes, such as this 275/65R16, which features a 3-1/8-inch wide whitewall. This particular size features a tall and wide radial design, making it perfect for the rear of hot rods, classic trucks and more. This tire is DOT and ECE approved and features an S-speed rating. This tire is proudly made in America.
Genuine Wide Whitewall Tire
Typically wide whitewalls run all the way to the bead. Narrow whitewalls will stop somewhere before the bead, resulting in a narrower band of exposed white rubber. Bright white rubber is added directly to the tire sidewall during initial construction of the carcass, resulting in a truly integrated, high-quality product after vulcanization. This style was popular into the early sixties, eventually being replaced by narrow whitewalls altogether.S Speed Rating
