Phoenix Rear Slick F31 Compound 14.0/32.0-15W Tire

Coker Tire Company offers a huge selection of drag racing slicks in different compounds under the Phoenix Drag Race Tires product line. In addition to a number of bias ply slicks, Phoenix also has three radial slicks, which are very popular in Super Stock racing. Phoenix Race Tires are the choice of champion drag racers, because of consistency and long life. Those race teams choose Phoenix Drag Racing Tires with National Championships on the line, and you can depend on them, too. These slicks feature the Soft F31 compound. For a different setup, check out the Medium F9 compound and Medium/Hard F14 compounds. Made in USA!

Painted White Letter

Painting the letters on a tire is a practice that began many years ago, specifically in Indy Car racing. The painted letters made the tire brand more visible to the spectators, and in photographs, so it gave the tire manufacturer more media exposure. This look translated into the hot rod world in the 1950's and 1960's and even made its way into the muscle car market. Raised white letters became a more formal way to accomplish the colored letters.

Bias Ply Construction

Bias ply tire construction is a method that was used from the 1900's through the 1970's on passenger cars and light trucks. Bias ply tires feature ply cords that run at a 45 degree angle to the bead, and overlap in a crisscross pattern, depending on how many ply layers are used. This creates a strong tire, but bias ply tires have a tendency to follow breaks or ruts in the pavement. Bias ply tires are the most authentic choice for classic car restorations and traditional hot rod builds. Coker Tire offers a huge variety of bias ply tires for many applications.
