265/75R16 123/120R All Terrain TA KO2 RWL Tire
As the creator of the world's first all-terrain, BFGoodrich knows a thing or two about designing year-round all-terrain tires. From pavement, to sand, to mud, to severe snow, our year-round all-terrain tires perform in any condition, any time of the year.
Genuine Raised White Letter Tire
This is a raised white letter tire, sometimes called RWL for short. Raised white letter tires became common in the late sixties on muscle cars like the Pontiac GTO and high performance pony cars, like the Ford Mustang. Raised white letter tires feature white rubber that is built into the tire's sidewall when the carcass is being assembled. The letters are formed when the tire is vulcanized in a curing mold, and then buffed clean to reveal bright white letters. Look for this classic style from our featured brands like Pro-Trac, Firestone Wide Oval and BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
All Terrain T/A KO2 Tires
Serrated Shoulder Design provides increased mud, snow and rock traction, especially in aired-down driving situations. Interlocking Tread Elements maximize traction and handling on- and off-road by stabilizing the tread center and providing biting edges for improved traction. Three-peak mountain snowflake symbol: Exceeds U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) Severe Snow Traction performance requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions
Fitment & Compatibility â–¼
The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 LT265/75R16/E is designed for vehicles that can accommodate a 31.7-inch overall diameter and an 11-inch section width. It works well on many classic trucks and SUVs originally equipped with 15- or 16-inch wheels, especially those with mild lift kits or factory 4x4 ride height.
Fitment depends heavily on clearance at full steering lock and suspension compression. On stock-height vintage trucks, you may encounter rubbing on inner fenders or leaf springs. Vehicles with upgraded suspension or slightly wider track widths typically accept this size more easily without interference.
The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 LT265/75R16/E is designed to fit wheels between 7.0 and 8.0 inches wide, with its measured section width based on a 7.5-inch wheel. Staying within this range ensures proper sidewall shape and tread contact with the road.
Running a narrower wheel will pinch the sidewall slightly, increasing crown wear and reducing stability. A wider wheel can flatten the tread and expose sidewalls to damage. For vintage trucks or restorations, factory steel wheels often fall within this range, making this tire a practical upgrade without requiring wheel changes.
With a 31.7-inch diameter and 11-inch section width, the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 LT265/75R16/E requires adequate vertical and lateral clearance. You need to account for suspension compression, steering angle, and axle articulation, especially on off-road or uneven surfaces.
Clearance issues often show up under load or during turning rather than at static ride height. Classic trucks with original suspension geometry may need minor trimming or a leveling kit. Pay close attention to front valance panels, inner fenders, and brake line routing when evaluating fitment.
The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 LT265/75R16/E can fit some stock-height trucks, but it sits on the taller side at 31.7 inches. Many factory setups from the 1970s and 1980s may require minor adjustments to avoid rubbing.
Vehicles originally equipped with smaller diameter tires may experience clearance limitations. A small suspension lift or torsion bar adjustment can help. Always evaluate front and rear clearance under full compression to ensure consistent drivability without contact issues.
Tire Size Equivalents & Conversions â–¼
The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 LT265/75R16/E is commonly used as a replacement for sizes like 31x10.50R15 or older flotation sizes. Its 31.7-inch diameter places it in a similar range, though slightly taller.
When replacing older bias ply sizes, expect differences in width and sidewall flexibility. This tire will typically be wider and more stable, but may require checking clearance and speedometer calibration. Always compare overall diameter and section width before making a direct swap.
The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 LT265/75R16/E is wider and slightly shorter than a 235/85R16. The 235 size is narrower but typically taller, which can affect gearing and clearance differently.
Switching to the 265/75R16 increases contact patch width and improves off-road traction, but may reduce fuel efficiency slightly. The wider footprint also impacts steering feel and turning radius, especially on older vehicles with tighter wheel wells.
The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 LT265/75R16/E can replace certain flotation sizes like 31x10.50R16 equivalents, though exact matches depend on width and diameter.
Metric sizing offers more precision, but conversion requires comparing actual measurements. Always verify overall diameter and section width rather than relying on nominal size labels when switching between systems.
Performance & Use Case â–¼
The radial construction of the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 LT265/75R16/E provides stable highway manners compared to older bias ply designs. It tracks well at speed and offers predictable handling.
The R speed rating supports sustained highway use, but tread design may produce moderate road noise. The tall sidewall absorbs road imperfections, improving ride comfort, though cornering will feel less sharp than lower profile street tires.
The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 LT265/75R16/E is designed for off-road versatility, with serrated shoulders and interlocking tread blocks that enhance traction on dirt, mud, and rocks.
When aired down, the contact patch expands, improving grip on uneven terrain. The sidewall construction supports durability, but proper pressure management is critical to avoid bead issues or excessive sidewall flex.
The tread design of the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 LT265/75R16/E helps channel water away from the contact patch, reducing hydroplaning risk.
The wider footprint can increase water displacement needs, so maintaining proper inflation is important. Drivers may notice slightly longer stopping distances compared to highway-specific tires, especially in heavy rain.
Construction, Durability & Load Capacity â–¼
The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 LT265/75R16/E has a maximum load capacity of 3,415 pounds at 80 psi. This makes it suitable for heavy trucks, towing, and load-bearing applications.
The E load range indicates a strong internal construction. However, running maximum pressure is not always necessary for lighter vehicles. Adjust pressure based on actual load for optimal ride and wear.
The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 LT265/75R16/E is built for durability, with reinforced construction suited for rough terrain and heavy use.
Its tread depth of 15/32 contributes to long wear life. However, durability also depends on proper inflation and driving conditions, especially during highway use where heat buildup can occur.
With a high load rating and E load range, the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 LT265/75R16/E is well-suited for hauling and towing.
Proper inflation is critical when carrying heavy loads. Underinflation can lead to excessive heat buildup and reduced tire life, especially on long highway drives.
Installation & Maintenance â–¼
The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 LT265/75R16/E is rated at 80 psi for maximum load, but most vehicles will not require that pressure.
Adjust pressure based on vehicle weight and usage. Lower pressures improve ride comfort and traction, while higher pressures support load capacity and reduce heat buildup.
Rotating the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 LT265/75R16/E every 5,000 to 7,000 miles helps maintain even wear.
Due to its aggressive tread, uneven wear can develop if rotation is neglected. Consistent rotation extends tire life and maintains performance.
