Chattanooga Cruise In September 2012
October 02, 2012
If you've been keeping track of our Cruise In events here at Coker Tire, then you'll quickly realize that we have officially given it a name: the Chattanooga Cruise In. This event has taken off with great success, and we plan to hold more of them in 2013. We will soon be creating a website specifically for the Cruise In, so that we can efficiently handle requests for clubs, parking, etc. All of that aside, we prepared for a big crowd this past Saturday, and boy did we ever get one! With 700 cars on hand and more than 2,000 spectators, we had our hands full all day!
The great turnout certainly maxed out our parking areas in Corkyville, so that's a great problem to have! We enjoyed lots of great music from "The Other Guys" a local band that covered some great classic rock hits. Several vendors set up during the Cruise In, and of course, we had plenty of food on hand! Club participation was excellent this year--we had a Cobra club, a Trans Am club and even a Studebaker club in attendance. Cars and trucks came from all around to attend the Chattanooga Cruise In--the farthest traveler we noted was an awesome couple from the Cincinnati, Ohio area. They drove an awesome Model A coupe and stayed the whole weekend in the Scenic City.
Other visitors made great efforts to attend the Cruise In and we were thrilled to see our streets filled to the brim with awesome hot rods, muscle cars and pickup trucks! During the Cruise In, we had a drawing for a free set of BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, as well as an Honest Charley Garage Sign. Mary Blanks won the tires, while Richard Millwood claimed the Honest Charley sign.
Overall, we had more than 700 cars pass through the Cruise In this past Saturday, making this the largest turnout we've had so far with our Cruise In events. Next year, expect more of the same, including another awesome after party during the Chattanooga stop on the Hot Rod Power Tour. We'll keep you posted on the progress of the website, and make sure to keep it up-to-date with valuable information! For now, check out our favorite pictures from the September 2012 Chattanooga Cruise In and check out the Coker Tire Facebook page for even more cool shots!
