Coker Tire Best Wide Whitewall Award at GNRS
Congratulations to Danny Chavez for taking home the first Coker Tire Best Wide Whitewall Award of 2025 at the Grand National Roadster Show. His 1930 Ford Model A coupe is the quintessential hot rod with a '32 Ford frame, no fenders and a chopped top. Of course, it's rolling on wide whitewall tires from Coker...this combo includes our Firestone Deluxe Champion 500/525-16 wide whitewall bias ply tires up front and Firestone Deluxe Champion 750-16 wide whitewall bias ply tires out back for a great stance.

When you start looking at the details, you'll find this is truly a traditional hot rod. The dual-carbed 365ci Cadillac engine is adapted to a '39 Ford transmission, leading further back to a '58 Ford rear end, which is the newest part on the whole car aside from the tires. The dropped front axle and drum brake backing plates are detailed beautifully with chrome plating and painted details. The bronze color flows throughout the car, from the Wide 5 wheels, to the engine, to the steering wheel, and so on. Excellent craftsmanship is shown with the recessed firewall, custom horizontal grille bars in the '32 shell, and so much more.

Although the competition was tough at GNRS, the Chavez Coupe was our pick for Best Wide Whites. We'll be choosing dozens of cars and trucks for the Coker Tire Best Wide Whitewall Award at shows around the country, but this was a great way to kick off the 2025 show season, especially with Coker Tire being named the Official Tire of the Grand National Roadster Show.
