Raised white letter tires are a popular choice for early Camaros, and for good reason. From 1969 through the early 1980's, many Camaros either rolled off the lot with Raised White Letter tires or were quickly upgraded with new tires for a sporty look. We sell lots of BFGoodrich Radial T/A, Firestone Wide Oval and Cooper Cobra tires, and we spotted quite a few of them at the annual F-Body celebration known as Camaro Fest in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The event caters to all generations of Camaro, but we loved the first, second and third generation cars, as it reflects the glory days of the Camaro brand. Check out some of our favorite Camaros on hand...all of 'em are rolling on raised white letter tires of some variety, a perfect way to finish off the classic look. This 1969 Camaro Z/28 has an upgraded tire and wheel combo, utilizing wider Chevy Rallye wheels and 60 series BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires for extra grip. The 1978 through 1981 Camaro is quickly picking up steam as a collectable car, and this one is as clean as they come. The special Z/28 wheels and BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires fit the bill. This 1967 Camaro has a Baldwin style single racing stripe, as well as a later model "hockey stick" style stripe. Under the hood is a screaming small block with a Cross Ram and two 4's. A set of Rallye wheels and Cooper Cobra roll beneath it. Third generation Camaros are coming on strong and this 1986 third gen has a plain Jane look on the outside, while an LS engine provides a huge upgrade in power. The tires? BFG Radial T/A's of course! Going back to the first generation Camaro, this '69 Super Sport convertible once again features upgraded tires and wheels. Larger diameter, and a wider footprint give these cars a mean look. The Pace Car package is one of the most head-turning option groups you could get on a 1969 Camaro. This one would've originally come with F70-14 bias ply tires, but the owner has upgraded to radials for a smoother ride. 1973 was the last year of the small chrome bumpers on Camaros, and this Z/28 is a fine example. Staggered BFGoodrich Radial T/A's provide more meat in the back than the original F60-15's. We're loving the American Racing Torque Thrust D wheels and 70 series rubber underneath this 1969 Camaro Z/28. The DZ302 engine features an Edelbrock Smokey Yunick intake manifold for a little extra wow factor. White paint and white-centered wheels make for a totally '80s appearance for this 1981 Camaro Z/28. These cars came from the factory with 225/70R15 tires and the BFG's are a perfect fit. Third Generation Z/28 cars took on a whole different personality than the plain Camaros, thanks to additional body trim pieces, paint variations and aluminum wheels. Even with the contemporary get-up, the BFG Radial T/A's are a great choice. Once again, we have tire and wheel upgrades as this 1967 Camaro convertible ditched the original 14's in favor of 15x8-inch Rallye wheels and 60 series BFG rubber.
