Hot Rods, Gassers and Customs from the Pigeon Forge Rod Run
April 22, 2025
For more than 40 years, the Pigeon Forge Rod Run (previously known as the Grand Run) has been packing the tourist town of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee with thousands of hot rods, customs, muscle cars and more. This spring was no different, as the Spring Rod Run brought lots of action into town during the middle of April. The actual car show takes place at the LeConte Center, and offers lots of great vendors and show cars. The streets of Pigeon Forge are often more action-packed as the parking lots fill with a wide variety of cars, trucks, motorcycles and more. You'll see gassers, Pro Street cars, giant 4x4 trucks, wild rat rods and so much more. The best part about the Rod Run is that it's close to our homebase, so we drove up for the day to snap some pictures of Coker-equipped cars in attendance. Check out our favorites and mark your calendars for September 11-13, 2025 for the Fall Rod Run.
This satin-finished 1932 Ford five-window coupe rolls on 16 and 18-inch Indy magnesium wheels, wrapped in authentic Firestone bias ply tires. With a sky-high stance and slick paint, this 1953 Chevy gasser stands out with a set of our Cragar S/S wheels, wrapped in Firestone cheater slicks and BFG front runners. We're loving the attention to detail with this 1966 Chevelle convertible display inside the LeConte Center. Of course, the Firestone 775-14 redlines are a plus. Slammed on air suspension, this early '60s Cadillac features purple metal flake paint and a set of super fat Coker Classic whitewalls.BFG Radial T/A's and Magnum 500 wheels are the perfect fit for this Plymouth Road Runner.Check out the Coker Classic Star Series radials on this 1964 Chevelle four door. This was one of the first cars in the world to use our new Star Series tires and has about 10,000 miles of use out of them so far!Cooper Cobra tires and 8-inch wide Rally wheels look nice on this '68 Camaro, but take a closer look...this slick restored car still has the original 230ci inline six-cylinder engine. These Willys station wagons make great street rods, and this one features a set of painted Chevy Rally wheels and BFGoodrich Silvertown wide whitewall radial tires.Although the later GTO's seem to get more attention, we're loving the simple look of this 1964 GTO convertible, which rolls on painted steel wheels, dog dish caps and BFGoodrich redline radial tires.Magnum 500 wheels are the BEST choice for a Ford Gran Torino. Such a classic look! How about a turbo Buick from the '80s? These turbocharged V6 cars were stout competition against the naturally aspirated V8's. This one looks bone stock and rolls on factory turbine wheels and a set of fresh Cooper Cobras. Most of the cars and trucks in Pigeon Forge are wildly modified, so this all original Ford Model A pickup stood out. Of course, it has original style bias ply tires. On the other end of the Model A spectrum is this wildly chopped and channeled Tudor sedan. It features custom wire wheels and big-and-little Excelsior Stahl Sport radial tires.Someone must've found a good deal on some yellow paint. Nevertheless, Coker 185R15 redlines are a great choice for a classic Triumph. Excelsior Stahl Sport radial tires stand TALL on this heavily customized Volkswagen Beetle project car. Firestone Wide Oval redlines and black steel wheels offer a mean look for this bright red '67 Camaro.Gold line bias ply tires look the part with this Sunfire Yellow '66 Corvette coupe. Hot rods are plentiful at the Pigeon Forge Rod Run and we liked this pair of chopped hot rod coupes.
